Lo-Q extends business relationships with Palace

Entertainment and Dollywood

Update : 14:13 Published by François Mayné the 23 January 2013, New.
The beginning of the year is already full of announcements for Lo-Q, the specialist of virtual queuing systems for the theme parks, water parks and tourist attractions industry. After having acquired accesso, a leader in ticketing solutions, in early December, the company indeed unveils having sign new agreements with two current customers in the United States : Palace Entertainment and Dollywood.
Lo-Q extends its business relationships with Palace Entertainment and Dollywood

Located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Dollywood has extended the terms of its current contract through 2015 for the use of the Q-bot technology solution, the original Lo-Q virtual queuing system that allows guests to reserve a ride without having to actually wait in line.

The most visited attraction of the State also decided to add the same technology to its own water park, Dollywood Splash Country. Named Q-band and branded as 'Time Saver', the guests will have the opportunity to rent this waterproof RFID wrist band to reserve a virtual place in line at the most popular waterslides by using kiosks located throughout the park. We note that Q-band has been awarded last year by a IAAPA Brass Ring Award in the category of "Best new product".

Lo-Q extends its business relationships with Palace Entertainment and DollywoodSince installing Lo-Q’s Q-bot solution in 2007, we’ve experienced an overall increase in guest satisfaction and look forward to offering our water park guests the same convenience and benefits the Q-band ride reservation system will bring during the upcoming season,” said Jason Boothe, Director of Attractions for Dollywood Theme Park and Dollywood Splash Country.

We are thrilled to be extending our partnership with Dollywood for an additional three years. We are also extremely excited that the company has decided to install our additional Q-band system at its water park,” said Steve Brown President and Chief Operating Officer of Lo-Q. “For us, this decision marks another important vote of confidence in the value and capability of our technology.”

At the same time, the leisure parks operator Palace Entertainment (a subsidiary of Parques Reunidos) chose to leverage the group's combined technology solutions for two of its properties: the water parks Raging Waters and Noah's Ark.

Following its successful introduction at another Palace Entertainment's water park last year (Splish Splash in Long island), Raging Waters - in San Dimas, California - will also add the Q-band solution. Branded as 'H2Go Pass' at all Palace Entertainment's water park properties through the country, the system will be installed at nine of the Raging Waters’ most popular waterslides for the next summer.

Lo-Q extends its business relationships with Palace Entertainment and DollywoodNoah’s Ark (Wisconsin Dells), which is the largest water park in the US, has meanwhile added the e-commerce platform accesso Passport, bringing the total number of Palace Entertainment properties now served by accesso to eighteen. accesso Passport is an online ticketing solution that offers a comprehensive online shopping experience, including advance sales of admission tickets, parking, meal vouchers, tours, merchandise, cabanas, birthday parties and more. “It also delivers increased guest conversion and commitment pre-arrival by integrating within a venue’s current website and keeping guests engaged throughout their browsing process,” explains the company.

The proven success of the Q-band product at Splish Splash water park in New York and the accesso eCommerce platform across our theme park and water park portfolio has made these obvious additions for both Raging Waters San Dimas and Noah’s Ark,” said Fernando Eiroa, President and CEO, Palace Entertainment. “We look forward to implementing these technology solutions for the 2013 season to help increase our overall guest satisfaction levels.”

Steve Brown, who now serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of the company’s North America business, added “These agreements reinforce the benefits our combined organization offers. Together we leverage the talent of both teams and our collective technological, mobile and operational expertise, offering the industry a one-stop shop to find the next generation solutions they need to meet the rapidly changing expectations of their guests.”
