An authorization request was made on May 31 to administrative authorities of the city (Planning Commission and Environmental Protection) to obtain the zoning change of land next to the park entrance. The construction project provides indeed that the future ride structure will be higher than the current limit fixed to 18 meters (~59 ft). The city has agreed to launch a simplified and the local residents will soon be invited to a public session to get more information on the nature of this request.
Park officials said the ride will be 45 meters high (~147.6 ft) and that it will occupy an area of approximately 7,500 sq m (~80 729 sq ft). Moreover, the general manager Wouter Dekkers said: "No decision has yet been taken about the type of roller coaster and the manufacturer. We await the decision of the administration and we will also ensure that we will comply with regulations in terms of noise levels."
