Euro Attractions Show 2012 to start next week
in Berlin, Germany
Update : 02/10/12 - 12h48Published by François Mayné the 1 October 2012, Event.
It's in a week that will be held at the exhibition center Messe Berlin (Germany) the 2012 edition of the Euro Attractions Show (EAS), the largest conference and trade show for the attractions industry in Europe.
Over 8,000 professionals are expected from Tuesday 9 to Thursday 11 October by the promoter of the event IAAPA Europe, the European office of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. The exhibition area will be the largest since the beginnings of EAS with more than 360 companies represented on the show floor. Attendees will find more than 100 categories of products and services, from rides to F&B solutions, insurances, high-tech equipments, consultancy services, theming design and more. The show floor will be open from 11am to 6pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, and from 11am to 4pm on Thursday.
In parallel, EAS 2012 will also offer an extensive program of conferences, seminars and special events. As a prelude of the trade show will be organized the IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers, a three-day programme designed specifically for mid-level managers with two to three years of professional experience.
The 9th and 10th October, a dozen topics will be discussed by speakers on themes such as social media (with presentations by Movie Park Germany, Liseberg and Blackpool Pleasure Beach), the emerging markets in Europe (with a focus on Russia , Poland and Turkey), the security, the customer service, the seasonal events (with a focus on Halloween with presentations of Fort Fun, Europa-Park and Jora Entertainment), Food & Beverage trends or environmental concerns.
The European professionals of family entertainment centers (FEC) will also have the day of October 11 to attend a series of seminars specific to this industry now booming.
Several networking events aimed at facilitating contacts between industry players (buyers, suppliers, students, media, etc..) will also be held throughout the week. The program includes the traditional welcome reception, young professionals reception and Leadership Breakfast whose the two speakers will be Roland Mack (current IAAPA Chairman of the Board) and Fernando Aldecoa (CEO of PortAventura Resort). A Kick-Off event will also be presented for the first time just before the show floor opening on Tuesday.
Local attractions tours will also be proposed to attendees at Tropical Islands (an indoor water park built in an old zeppelin hangar) and at Filmpark Babelsberg (one of the oldest, large-scale film studios in the world) while the post-EAS trip will visit Heide Park and Hansa-Park in Northem Germany.
IAAPA Europe has already made available the ons-site catalogue with a complete list of exhibitors, categories of products and services, full agenda of the conference program and networking events as well as all useful information for attendees.
