Gateway Ticketing brings market leading solutions to

UK with the launch of a new company

Gateway Ticketing Systems, Inc., has announced the opening of a brand new company in the UK which is set to change the face of the attractions ticketing industry in the UK and Ireland.

Based in Hammersmith, London, Gateway Ticketing Systems UK, Ltd. is a joint venture partnership between Gateway US and software services specialist Metafour UK. It will be headed up by Andy Povey as operations director, a well-known face within the ticketing business having been involved in the visitor attractions and events sectors for many years. Metafour provides a solid base of resources and experience to deliver sales, support, installation, customisation and consultancy.

The new company will deliver the full range of Gateway’s world renowned Galaxy revenue management solution for general admission ticketing to provide its customers with new ways of boosting revenue. Galaxy aims to be the solution of choice for all venues within the attractions sector, including museums and galleries, heritage attractions and historic houses, zoos and gardens, theme parks and events, as well as for those in the bus and ferry transportation sectors.

The entire Galaxy suite is now optimised for the UK with the system offering a wide range of solutions. Among these are an integrated e-commerce platform with print-at-home, mobile web store, integrated agent booking and accounting engine; membership and loyalty schemes; Gift Aid on admission and donations online and on-site; a single platform for ticketing, retail and F&B, providing a single view of visitor spending to maximise secondary spend; an innovative resource and space booking tool; and real time management information to maximise operative performance.

Gateway provides ticketing systems to a wide range of visitor attractions in the UK, including the EDF Energy London Eye.

Explaining the new company and the solutions it will offer, Andy Povey commented: “Gateway has been established for over 20 years and has over 400 customers worldwide in 35 countries. Gateway UK will offer all the services and support as currently offered from the head office in the US, to both new and existing customers. Importantly, however, we will also provide market specific aspects to installations and interfacing to UK specific systems and tour operators. Metafour’s extensive expertise in software development will be a key part of this provision."

He added “Attractions in the UK and Ireland will be able to take advantage of a new player in the market which is able to offer international, market leading software and solutions for all their ticketing requirements as well as for areas such as revenue management, audience development and enhanced customer experience.”

A new website for the UK office – www.gatewayticketing.co.uk - has also been launched in conjunction with this announcement.
