This November, IAAPA Attractions Expo attendees will have multiple opportunities to support Give Kids The World (GKTW), including playing 18 holes at a scenic Orlando golf club, going hog wild during IAAPA’s Motorcycle Ride, getting in touch with their inner Olympian, or visiting the GKTW Village. Last year, IAAPA raised more than $74,000 (about €60,000) for GKTW during IAAPA Attractions Expo and hopes to eclipse that figure this year.
Attendees can also contribute on the trade show floor by entering the GKTW Chance to Win or by donating booth items, such as plush, games, t-shirts, rides, etc. All profits will benefit GKTW, a storybook resort that provides cost-free dream vacations for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families from around the world.
“Give Kids The World’s mission is based on putting smiles on children’s faces, something the attractions industry understands,” said Chip Cleary, IAAPA President and CEO. “Whether golfing, riding, running, or buying a chance to win there are a variety of ways for exhibitors, attendees, and their families and friends to support Give Kids The World at this year’s Expo.”
Exhibiting companies at IAAPA Attractions Expo can donate products to GKTW. Additional information will be distributed to each booth during the week and will be available at the Exhibitor Services Desk behind IAAPA Central, Booth #3431, Thursday, Nov. 15 or Friday, Nov. 16.
IAAPA Attractions Expo 2012 is the largest conference and trade show in the world for the attractions industry. With its theme “Game On” the show will take place in Orlando, Florida, and draw 25,000 industry professionals from 100 countries to the Orange County Convention Center from Monday, Nov. 12, through Friday, Nov. 16. The event will offersa full week of business opportunities and educational experiences, and features new ideas, products, and events.
