Primary on Kerr's agenda for TEA, an international nonprofit now rounding out its 20th anniversary year, are a leadership search to find a successor to executive director Gene Jeffers who has announced plans to retire after more than a decade of service; growing the association's NextGen outreach and mentoring initiative for students and recent grads entering the attractions industry; and helping position TEA to serve an increasingly global industry, especially the rapidly growing Asian sector.
She has been active within TEA since 2002; first as a member of the Eastern Division Board of Directors, and then serving as its President for 3 years. Kerr was elected to the TEA International Board of Directors in 2008 and has served as a Vice President for the past 4 years.
