The waterpark Wet'n Wild in Orlando, Florida (USA) just opened its latest attraction, Blastaway Beach™ - the world's largest ProSlide RideHOUSE™ Ride 'n Spray Structure.
ProSlide and Wet'n Wild Orlando have a long standing partnership in bringing their Waterpark customers innovative and exhilarating water rides. "We've all seen kid's areas at Waterparks, but this is bigger and unlike any other around. It's fun and engaging for everyone, stimulating our youngest guests and delighting entire families," says Michael Black, Senior Vice President & GM, Wet 'n Wild Orlando.
The massive RideHOUSE™ structure is 60ft (18.3m) at its highest point and includes 19 platforms, 16 staircases 9 bridges and tons of unique sandcastle theming items. The gigantic play area also covers an acre (about 4050 sqm) with a variety of activities including 15 slides, 160 active features including the four brand new pneumatic water cannons, soakers, jets, waterfalls and a cascading WaterWHEEL™ at 500 Gallons (about 1900 liters) ! Designed especially for families, the new area has a single entrance and exit, creating a secluded environment that is safe and fun for all ages. "We are excited to offer a tremendous, new experience for families and children of all ages" states Mr. Black.
ProSlide comments : "The Blastaway Beach RideHOUSE™ is a completely custom Ride 'n Spray Structure that was designed to provide entire families with hours of fun. The structure is designed like no other in the industry, providing attendants with a clear view throughout, and below, thanks to engineering innovations unique to ProSlide. There is also increased benefit to the park; the enhanced visibility means fewer attendants are needed to operate the structure in a safe and controlled way and more guests can enjoy the fun as it meets ADA Accessibility requirements."
To mark the grand opening, Wet ‘n Wild asked local elementary school students to submit artistic representations of Blastaway Beach™. Fifty winners were selected and invited to bring their families to enjoy the new area.
