Attractions and roller coasters manufacturer MACK Rides held a groundbreaking ceremony a few days ago to start the construction of a new 2,000 square meters (about 21,530 sqf) logistics center that will expand the Mack Family plant located at Waldkirch, in South-West of Germany. It will open in October.
This decision is due to an increase of orders, a fact that requires more space for production, assembly and storage of the various attractions offered by MACK Rides in its products portfolio. The new logistics center will be connected to the vehicules and track production facilities and a 450 sqm (4,850 sqf) covered deck with a crane and a new distribution zone will guarantee a faster order proceedings and a enhanced safely environment for workers. This restructuring will allow the company to be more flexible for each new order.
"The popularity and the international great interest in our quality products with the label 'Made in Germany' encouraged us in this investment decision at Waldkirch" stated Mack Rides CEO Christian von Elverfeldt. "In these times of skills shortage and investments fear, we are encouraged to find this expertise in our industry, especially on the German domestic labor market."
MACK Rides currently manufactures a Megacoaster for a brand new theme park set to open in Sochi, Russia.
