Compagnie des Alpes: report of the General meeting

Shareholders of Compagnie des Alpes, who met last March 15 in Paris for the combined ordinary and extraordinary annual General meeting, followed all recommendations of the Board of Directors concerning the resolutions submitted to them, including the approval of a dividend of €0.85 per share.

The Group reported that leisure parks activity has been boosted by the consolidation of Futuroscope and the momentum of the Group’s key brands, Walibi and Astérix. It also stated that the 2012 season is off to a good start, with “new and exciting events” in line with the Group’s business strategy of expansion and brand development (OzIris at Parc Astérix, rebranding and expended offer for Walibi parks, Futuroscope’s 25th anniversary celebrations). Reminder: leisure-park business represents only 15% of annual visitor attendance at this point of the year.

Furthermore, CDA continued the implementation of its strategic development, particularly the Musée Grévin projects. After closing on an initial project for a Musée Grévin in Montreal (opening planned for 2013), the Group should finalize a similar deal for Prague in the near future. Other international development projects are underway linked to the Group’s expertise and know-how, with a goal of finalizing one or two consulting and management contracts for sizeable projects.

Finally, the activity of ski areas currently has excellent performances (revenues grew by +4.5% to date) due to the excellent ski conditions observed since January.
