Palace Entertainment acquires the largest waterpark

in the United States : Noah's Ark

Update : 05/03/12 - 13h25 Published by François Mayné the 4 March 2012, Corporate.

Festival Fun Parks, a subsidiary of Parques Reunidos doing business as Palace Entertainment, announced that it has completed the acquisition of Noah’s Ark waterpark, located in the popular, family vacation spot of Wisconsin Dells (Wisconsin, USA).

Property of the Gantz Family since its opening in 1979, Noah's Ark is America's largest waterpark with more than 51 water attractions including about 30 waterslides, 2 waves pools, 2 lazy rivers and even... a 4D cinema. The 28 hectares (70 acres) property is also home of two hotels featuring over 300 rooms. This year, the park will open a 4-lanes ProSlide Technology's KrakenRACER waterslide called Quadzilla.

Palace Entertainment acquires the US largest waterpark : Noah's Ark

Fernando Eiroa, Palace Entertainment’s President and CEO, comments, “We are very happy to be adding such an iconic water park to Palace’s array of family parks across the nation. We understand how important this park is within the Wisconsin Dells community, and we are dedicated to enhancing the Noah’s Ark brand. We look forward to meeting our new neighbors and community leaders and forging lasting relationships and partnerships.”

Tim Gantz, one of Noah’s Ark’s previous owners stated, “When we considered the sale of the park, we were excited that a company such as Palace, with so much experience in Water Parks, Theme Parks, Animal Parks and Family Entertainment Centers, would come to this area.

We look forward to the future success of Noah’s Ark, its employees, and see this as a positive move for the area as a whole,” added former co-owner Dan Gantz.

Wisconsin Dells is considered as the "Water Park Capital of the World” because the spot also hosts the largest indoor waterpark resort (Wilderness Territory) and America's largest water and theme park resort (Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park). American TV channel "Travel Channel" hailed Noah's Ark as "THE place for water in the Midwest,” and TripAdvisor.com named Wisconsin Dells the number one family vacation destination in the U.S.

Palace Entertainment is one of the leading leisure park operators in the United States with a global attendance of over 13 million visitors annually. The group manages more than 50 leisure sites including 8 amusement parks, 11 waterparks and more than 20 Family Entertainment Centers (FEC).
