Lotte World Waterpark, a new waterpark project in

South Korea with WhiteWater

Lotte World, located in Seoul, South Korea and known as the largest indoor amusement park in the world, announced it has signed the largest contract in the waterpark industry with the Canadian manufacturer WhiteWater West Industries.

This contract of $ 22 million (approximately € 16.7 million) specifies that WhiteWater West will be responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of all indoor and outdoor facilities of a brand new waterpark called "Lotte World Waterpark" planned at Kimhae near Busan in the southeast of the country.

The manufacturer will provide a dozen of water slides, including two MEGAtube rides: the new Family Rattler and Family Python, a Family Boomerango, an AquaLoop, an Abyss, an 8-Lane Whizzard, a Family Raft Ride, a Dueling Master Blasters as well as Speed Slides and Body Slides.

In addition, Lotte World Waterpark will offer two wave pools including a 35 meter (115 foot) pneumatic Surf Wave pool and a smaller indoor 18 meter (60 feet) Family Wave pool, a FlowRider Double and two AquaPlay multi-level interactive play structures – an AquaPlay Giant RainFortress and an AquaPlay AP1050, both featuring large tipping buckets. The park will also showcase some of WhiteWater’s custom theming with complex custom-designed Polynesian themed waterslides.

The opening of Lotte World Waterpark is scheduled in Spring 2013.
