Alton Towers buzz about 2013 and SW7 project

Alton Towers (Merlin Entertainments Group) is already working on a new roller coaster for 2013 whose code name is SW7. The park continues the tradition of its "Secret Weapons", unique roller coaster projects in the world carried out in partnership with designer John Wardley.

Here's a reminder of the Secret Weapons historic:
SW1 and SW2: abandoned projects
SW3: Nemesis, first B&M Terrain Inverted Coaster in 1994
SW4: Oblivion: first B&M Diving Coaster (vertical drop) in 1998
SW5: Air: First B&M Flying Coaster in 2002
SW6: Th13teen: first Intamin AG Freefall Vertical Drop Coaster in 2010

Alton Towers website offers users to participate in a unique contest : Help design our new ride The winner will have the opportunity to join the team responsible for the design of the attraction at several key moments in its development! To play, users just have to write their motivation in maximum 100 words...

This contest is part of a important community marketing campaign, where users are invited to vote for their favorite roller coaster between the 5 "all times greats" (Nemesis, Air, Rita, Oblivion and Th13teen) via the Alton Towers' website and Facebook Connect. The park has also launched the #ALTONTOWERSGREATS hashtags on Twitter. Prizes are: an hotel stay package, entrance tickets and Fastracks tickets (privileged access for the 5 ''all greats rides'').
