The Canadian industrial group Empire Industry Ltd., specialized in steel fabrication, has announced that its Dynamic Attractions business unit has been awarded two major contracts to design, engineer and manufacture the mechanical and structural systems of two media based attractions.
No detailed information was revealed on these contracts but it was stated that the first one, totaling $30 million (about €23.5 million), will be executed over a period of approximately 2 years while the second one, valued in excess of $3.8 million (about €3 million), will be done within the next 12 months for a theme park in the UAE.
Dynamic Attractions (through the company Dynamic Structures) is an expert in making steel structures for the attractions industry. The company has worked on prestigious and innovative projects as the dark ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey on behalf of Universal Creative, the simulator Test Track at Epcot or the flying theaters Soarin' for Walt Disney Imagineering. It also works with companies such as Robocoasters, KUKA and Snox to design new types of attractions with the latest robotics and automation technologies.

It represents another milestone in our strategy to focus more resources on the global attractions business. It is gratifying to see our investment in this market bear fruit.”
Dynamic Attractions currently works on other projects including the retracking of Big Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom (Florida) and a new flying theater called Dinosaurin 'Over China for a new indoor amusement park set to open in China in 2013.
