Mirabilandia to open the world highest
Water Coaster : Divertical

The Italian theme park Mirabilandia, located in Savio not far from Ravenna, will open in next June Divertical, the world highest Water Coaster which will be 60 meters (197 feet) tall ! With trains reaching the maximum speed of 110 km/h (62 mph), the ride will have for theming the world of speed boats.
Designed and manufactured by Intamin, the ride will feature a vertical lift that will carry two trains alternatively (one at the top while the other is being load at the bottom such as Pilgrim’s Plunge at Holiday World). The layout will consist in an over 55 meters (180 feet) drop, a Splashdown, a classic coaster section with turns and a spiral before a final drop in the water. Trains will be themed as speed boats.
Mirabilandia announced a competition to promote Divertical as the new symbol of the park. On its website, a special interface allow internet users to customize their own Divertical boat with a choice of several colors and graphics. The 11 best designs selected by the park will be realized, while the winners will be also invited to attend the grand opening of the ride. “We decided to give our fans the opportunity to create their own design on Divertical" stated Ricciardo Capo, General Manager of Mirabilandia “It 's a way for us to reward their passion and enthusiasm for this great new attraction that will forever change the face of our park.”
Property of Parques Reunidos, Mirabilandia opened last year a Preston & Barbieri Family Coaster (Max Adventure Master Thai) as well as a new horror walkthrough (Phobia). Divertical will join the already well known B&M Inverted Coaster “Katun” (2000) and Intamin Launch Coaster “iSpeed” (2009).
